I don’t drink, or I follow a special diet. What should I do?
You’re welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic drink, and water is available. If you follow a special diet, please bring your own treat.
Will anyone touch me, or expect me to touch anyone?
No. This is a no-touch listening evening, and no one touches anyone.
Is anyone undressing or losing their clothes?
No. Everyone stays fully clothed the whole evening.
Do I have to read, share or take part?
No. All you need to do is sit back and listen. A carefully chosen group of Cape Town writers has been invited to share their work, and the whole evening is curated as one storytelling experience, from the first sip to the last word.
What’s the blindfold?
A soft piece of maroon velvet ribbon waits on your seat. You tie it over your eyes so you can go within; simply listen and experience.
Can I take photos, film or record?
No. This is a phone-free evening, with no photography or recording at all. You’re here to be fully present with yourself, and the writers are sharing very personal work.
