“Eroticism is one of the bases of self-knowledge, as indispensable as poetry.” — Anaïs Nin
Erotic Poetry as a Path to Intimate Self-Connection.
This intimate writing workshop + experience is an invitation into eros: not as performance, provocation, or spectacle, but as aliveness.
In its original sense, eros is the life-force that moves through sensation, curiosity, longing, creativity, and presence.
It is about being in contact with your inner world, felt sense, and lived experience.
Erotic poetry, in this context, becomes a practice of self-knowledge, a way of listening inwardly and allowing language to meet what is alive, subtle, or stirring within you.
- This is not a performance space.
- There is no expectation to share.
- Nothing you write needs to be read aloud.
An invitation to read what you have written may be offered gently and without pressure, only as an option for pleasure, expansion, or liberation, never obligation.
This workshop is about being honest with yourself on the page, pen in hand, attention turned inward, writing honestly without the need to impress, explain, or justify.
What you will be invited into:
Over the course of the session, you will be gently guided through a small suite of writing invitations, including:
- An essential, sensual poem, rooted in presence and noticing
- A collective poem, written individually within a shared field of contribution
- A poem exploring desire—personally and expansively defined
These are invitations, not obligations.
You are free to engage at your own pace and depth.
